Dear Parents

While schools remain open I want to reassure you that we are doing absolutely everything within our power to keep children and staff safe.
Everyone who enters the building is expected to wash their hands to prevent the spread of germs from outside.

The Cleaning Team are doing an amazing job and are using chlorine based solutions to clean all surfaces, doors and door handles.
We have decided that until further notice we will not be holding assemblies to limit the close contact in one room.

As per the guidance from the DfE, we are not taking children out on trips or visits, this includes sporting events. As we do not use public transport for swimming we are continuing with this for Yr2 until we are advised otherwise. The evidence suggests that the chlorine in the water is beneficial.

We will continue with after school clubs for this week but, as guidance changes daily, please be advised that this might change.

We are no longer able to give children cups for water during the day (as these cannot be cleaned adequately between uses) so please send your child in with an individual water bottle for their personal use.

We are continuing to make children wash their hands at several points during the day and before they leave to come home. On Friday night we changed the soap as we are aware that some children developed a rash on their hands. This should now be fine.

We would ask that you all follow the Government advice and if you or your child develops a new, continuous cough or a high temperature that you stay at home for 7 days and phone school to let us know.

As advice and guidance changes I will, of course, update you further.
