Dear Parents/ Carers,

This year, the role of the PTA is going to change. The purpose of having a PTA is to fundraise and to improve the link between home and school by increasing the opportunities for parental engagement. Due to this, we have decided that having a team of parents is not the best method to meet this purpose and instead we will be sharing upcoming events which anyone can sign up to support.

The PTA will work alongside the Junior Leadership Team to organise and carry out events.

To sign up, it will require your name and email address. It will also ask for you to include your mobile number however, this is optional. From here, you will be able to see upcoming events to confirm your attendance and sign up to do different tasks.

Throughout the year, there will also be other opportunities to engage with school. For example, supporting on school trips, reading with individual children and running afterschool clubs. If this is something that you are interested in, you will also need to sign up on the above link.

As the PTA will no longer be a small group of parents, there will be no need for you to attend regular meetings. However, there will be the opportunity for you to have a voice in creating new events and other ways that parents can be involved in school.
