In Year 3, they have been delving into what design technology is and have been exploring how buildings have changed over time. They have looked at designs and started to think about the design process and how designers draw inspiration from previous products.
Year 3 have been investigating the theory of triangulation and experimenting with different joining techniques. They used saws affectively to develop their measuring and cutting skills.
This half term, Year 3 have been looking at what a balanced diet looked like. They looked carefully at the different food groups and how vegetarians can still get protein into their diet. They practised their finger fluency by testing out their cutting skills, using both the bridge and claw grip. At the end of the week, they made a smoothie, which allowed them to experiment with blender recipes.
