Online Safety: Useful Links
IT Information for parents RE: MOMO challenge
Dear Parents/Carers,
You may be aware of comments on social media regarding the ‘momo challenge’. This challenge has been linked to WhatsApp and YouTube and can frequently come up in YouTube’s suggested videos. We strongly recommend that you closely supervise your child whilst they are online and be aware of the sites, apps and games that your child accesses and make sure they know who they can talk to if they find something that worries them. If your child does come across anything distressing relating to the momo challenge it is important to reassure them that it is not real and cannot harm them.
You will have been sent an information leaflet with information about the momo challenge. Please be mindful with how you choose to use this information with your child.
If you have any further concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you for your support,
Mrs Forde
